SECTOR CHIEFS

What do Sector Chiefs do?

Sector Chief's play an important role in each Sector

Each one of the 25 Sectors should have 2-3 Sector Chief's to effectively manage their Sector.  If an emergency happens, and one Sector Chief is out of the Villages, or hurt and cannot fulfill their role, it's beneficial to have a couple of trained back-ups to complete the task of managing the Area Reps.

Sector Chiefs attend monthly EPC meetings to stay prepared on the latest EPC procedures, train their Area Rep's, practice using their MURS two-way Radio and oversee their Sector's AID Station.

During an emergency, a Sector Chief radios any special needs reported by the Area Reps into the Villages Emergency Operations Center (VEOC) to request help from Specialty Teams.

Sector Chiefs keep their AID Station ready for use during a disaster, communicate with their Area Reps creating a phone tree to communicate in an effective manor.
